Brief Description:  Andair Fuel Valve/Throttle-Finish

I screwed the rear mounting angle in, mounted the fuel valve, installed the cabin cover and fuel valve trim ring. Hmm—didn’t really like this setup. With the fuel valve below the mounting angles, it sits too low from the mid cabin cover. The top of the fuel valve is about 3/32” below the top of the trim ring—just not satisfied with this. Sooo-I removed everything, drilled out the rivets holding the spacers in place and removed them. Now I intend to mount the valve on top of the mounting angles using the same mounting holes. I cut a radius on each angle to clear the lower part of valve—remounted everything and looks much better. Drilled both angles for nutplates , c/s for NAS rivets and attached the nutplates. Cleaned everything again and touched up with primer. After the primer dried, I installed everything. Looks much better now. Moved to the throttle mount. I am using a 3 lever quadrant with the curved top. The quadrant supplied by Aircraft Spruce requires longer bolts than what comes with the mount. If you get the flat top mount from Van’s, I think it comes with the proper hardware. Done with throttle & fuel valve. Need to rearrange the shop prior to starting the mounting of the tail.
