Brief Description: F839, F840, F841 Control Tubes-Finish
Poured primer into the F840 tube and slowly tilted the tube back and forth. After about 10 minutes of this, I poured the primer into the F841 tube. Then I added a bit more primer and went thru the same routine as the F840 tube. Emptied the primer into a can and removed the tape left the primer to dry. Later in the day, I checked and the primer was dry—Texas heat tends to dry primer rather quickly. I dipped the end caps in primer and shoved them into the tubes. Then I dipped the pop rivets in primer and pulled them with the hydraulic riveter. I cleaned and scuffed the outside of both tubes and shot them with primer. Adjusted the length of F839 tube per plan specs. Done with the three control tubes.
