Brief Description:  Cable Anchor-1

Spent some time yesterday trying to figure out how best to mount the fuel valve. Finally decided that I needed to order some angle, nutplates, screws etc. So, today I started on the F864 cable anchor that goes behind the throttle quadrant. Started with a large chunk of aluminum angle and laid out the various dimensions. Many builders use a band saw to cut this out, but I don’t have one. Armed with a hacksaw, I hacked and sawed for quite some time. Then I used a file and finally moved to the scotchbrite wheel. Several hours later, it looked like what the drawing shows. I then match drilled the anchor to the throttle quadrant. Still need to drill the 3 holes for the cables and tap the holes for the 4 screws that mount the anchor to the quadrant.
