Attached the c/b cover with a few screws-- this turned out ok. Now, back to the battery hatch. I am using a small slide latch from Southco (#6401 minature paddle latch). Made a cut out for the latch piece with the dremel, then made a small bracket to hold it in place. Cut a piece of .063 to rivet on top of the .040 doubler for the striker plate.
