Brief Description:  Flooring 15-Important TIP

Back riveted the F830B-1 to the front seat floor. Next I riveted the F832E-1 front seatback hinge to the F829A-1 front seat floor. I used a rivet block to back rivet the hinge to the floor—looked kinda like the monkey & a football thing, but turned out ok. The hinge is slightly wavey—this stuff is very soft material, but won’t be seen and the pin slides without any problem. Nancy held the seatback floor while I used the backshooter. TIP FOR BUILDERS AT THIS POINT—plans would have you rivet the floor stiffener and support angle, followed by the hinge. After following this method, I wish I had done it differently. I would back rivet the stiffener first. And then I would use a 4” nohole yoke to squeeze the rivets in the hinge—it will just barely reach, but it will reach. And finally I would use the squeezer to rivet the floor support angle. Squeezing the rivets in the hinge should leave it without any waves.
