When I match drilled the front seat floor and support bracket to the F805D brackets, it appeared that there was an issue with minimum edge distance. The e.d. was short by .11”. I checked with Van’s and they said this was not a problem as there is no load at the edge of this hole. Whew—didn’t really want to fab up another F805 and then remove and install new ones. After that bit of good news, I went back to the flap blocks. Marked and drilled the aft holes in both blocks and trimmed the blocks per the plans. Now for the not so good news--it appears there will be a minimum edge distance issue with the forward holes. Need to check with Van’s before drilling into the longerons. Seems that many builders have had problems in this area. Arrrr!
