Brief Description:  Landing Light Install-R. Wing-10

Drilled the plexi to 9/64”—although the directions say to drill 5/32”. I deviated because the countersink pilot fits much closer in a 9/64” hole. Also drilled a 9/64” hole in a piece of angle to use as a backup to keep the c/s from wandering around. Used a #30 c/s turning not real fast with light pressure to make the c/s in the plexi. THEN, I opened the holes up to 5/32”. After the plexi lens was done with no chips or cracks, I drilled the skin to 9/64” and dimpled with a #6 dimple die. Before assembling, I coated the screws with BOELube and ran them into the nutplates to loosen them up a bit. Ran screws thru the wing, thru the plexi and into the nutplates on the little backing strips. Fit looks pretty good, still need to add some foam tape around the lens and also the double sided tape to the backing strips. There is not enough double sided tape with the kit to cover both of the backing strips.
