Pitot Mast Installation. Using the template that came with the SafeAir mast, I transferred the outline of the mast to the skin. Used a step drill to cut out most of the hole in the skin, then used a rotary file in the dremel to cut almost to the finish line. Switched to a sanding drum in the dremel to cut to finish line. Then used a file and finally some fine sandpaper to finish. Fit the mast thru the skin and used the template to locate the upper rivet holes. Drilled the upper holes, then clecoed the mast to skin. Inserted a drill bit thru the skin & spar to mark the lower holes. Removed the mount and drilled out the lower holes. Clecoed the mast to skin and spar.
