Brief Description:  NACA Wing vent

More NACA vent work. I made a couple of aluminum strips to back up the plastic vent. Match drilled everything to 1/8”, then used a debur bit to lightly c/s the vent. Dimpled the skin using a 1/8” dimple die. Using some course sandpaper, I ruffed up the backing strips and the vent. I used RTV to glue the strips to the vent. Slipped a piece of 2” square screen over the outlet, wrestled the hose on and secured the clamp. Unbelievable how much time has been spent on such a seemingly simple little piece. Next session I intend to RTV the scoop inside the skin and secure with pop rivets.
