Removed L. aileron and repositioned a washer on each bracket to gain some clearance where pushrod passes thru spar. Still had to open the hole up just a bit with a file for clearance when the pushrod moves up and down. Next I fabricated aileron stops—very nice mod I found on Mickey Coggin’s log. I used a piece of 5/8” delrin rod which works out about right for the stop. I clamped a 2x4 to the drill press table and used a 5/8” wood bit to drill a hole. Then I inserted a 2” piece of delrin rod in the hole and drilled the center out with a 21/64” bit. Using a hack saw, I cut a piece of the rod to fit over the little spacer that goes in the aileron bracket where the rod end bearing of the pushrod connects. Thanks Mickey!
