Brief Description:  R. Aileron Gap Seal-Finished

Finished riveting the right aileron gap seal. Squeezed the first AN426AD3-3.5, and the dimple in the fairing and wing skin did not mesh together, leaving a slight gap. I remembered a tip I saw on someone’s build log. Can't remember who, but thanks for the tip! I used the squeezer with a dimple die to go back over the holes-thus clamping the two pieces together. This made the skin lay very flat over the fairing. Squeezed all the remaining rivets. Note—the plans called for a -3 rivet, but that seemed short according to my rivet gauge, so I moved up to a -3.5. Enlisted help from Nancy again and we moved the wing back into the cradle. Will drill out the offending rivet, double-dimple and squeeze another one in. Very pleased with the way this turned out.
