Brief Description:  WD-721 Bellcranks-finished!

Applied Aeroshell 7 grease to brass bushings that fit inside the WD-721 bellcranks. Installed bellcrank in the left wing, torqued the AN3 bolts to 22” lbs, torqued the AN4 bolt that goes thru the brass bushing to 65” lbs. Bellcrank rotates freely. Then applied some orange torque seal to the bolts. Followed the same sequence on the right side, but it was not so much fun. When I torqued the AN4 bolt that goes thru the brass bushing, the bellcrank seemed to bind. Disassembled the bellcrank, cleaned off all the grease and polished the brass bushing (using drill press). Greased it up, bolted everything together, torqued bolts—success! This entire procedure appeared so simple, yet took way too much time.
