Brief Description:  Pushrod ends

Sprayed the end pieces with primer and used a rubber mallet to drive them in the ends of the W-818—three of the four seated without issue, but the fourth stuck about half way in. It would not budge—finally determined the only thing to do was to remove it. I grabbed the end piece with vice grips and used a pipe wrench on the push rod tube. Took some muscle, but I was able to turn the end piece and just sorta unscrewed it. I cleaned up all the burrs and edges, cleaned both parts with MEK and sprayed primer on again. Wasted no time in driving the threaded rod end into the tube. Disaster averted! Took both pushrods to a welder who TIG welded the ends. Cleaned up the ends with a wire wheel, then shot a coat of primer on them. Will shoot another coat tomorrow, then have some pics. I wrapped some duct around the end of the W-816, then removed and measured it and marked off 6 equally spaced tics. Got one hole drilled with a 1/16” bit to verify my setup would work. Tomorrow I hope to get the other holes drilled.
