Brief Description: Attached W-406 & W-407 to ailerons
The ailerons that come with the QB Wing are mostly complete--just attach some brackets and they're done. Started on the W-406 and W-407 brackets that bolt to the ailerons. Since this appears rather straightforward, I did both ailerons at the same time. The ailerons have a “starter” hole in the spar where the brackets attach. I match drilled the brackets to the ailerons using a #30 drill to get everything lined up. Then I used a #13 drill, followed by a #12 reamer. Removed and deburred all parts, then bolted everything together. Not real sure how to torque these fittings yet—can’t get a socket and torque wrench on the nuts. I may go in search of a small crow foot tomorrow and see if that will work.
