This winter has been long and darn cold—my plan of working on the empennage fairing may not have been the best course of action. I braved the cold a few evenings ago and trimmed and sanded the new glass to the desired shape. I installed the fairing and mixed up some resin. I added a scoop of flox to give the front a bit of strength and then added 2 scoops of micro to make a very dry paste. I spread the goo around the front of the fairing with a popsicle stick. As thick as the paste is, I won’t have to worry about it running or sagging.
