Brief Description:  Bottom rudder cap-electrical

I used a butt splice to join two ground wires—one wire to rudder rib brace and one to the tail light mounting ring. In hindsight, I should have run the ground from the rib brace to the terminal attached to the mounting ring and come out the back end with only one ground wire. Next, I pulled the strobe/nav wire back out of the rudder cap and added molex terminals and a connector to the wires. Then, I wrapped them with some self fusing silicone tape. Crud, I forgot to tape a string to the wires before I pulled them out of the rudder to apply the connector. Fished around with a string taped to a stiff wire for some time before finally managing to grab the string at the front end of the rudder. Taped the string to the connector and pulled it back thru the rudder and out the hole for the light. When I get the AeroLed tail light/strobe, I’ll put a connector on it and hopefully when plugged together there will be light. To remove the rudder, should be a simple matter of removing the Suntail, unplugging the connector, pulling out the wire (attached to a string for re-install) and pulling out the 3 bolts holding the rudder to the VS. Also, since I ran the wire thru the rear fuselage bulkhead, the VS can be removed as well without any wiring issues.
