Brief Description:  Bottom rudder cap-7

I cut a couple of pieces of glass to cover the foam block in the nose of the rudder cap, then wet the glass with resin and applied over the foam. I taped some wax paper over the rudder horn and sides so I wouldn’t have the cap glued on before I really want it stuck for good. Clecoed the cap to the rudder. Fast forward several hours. I removed the cap—darn thing stuck after all—sure glad I didn’t wait till morning to try and remove it! After some choice words and smacking the cap a bit it came loose from the rudder. I’ll let it cure overnight and then trim it up tomorrow. I mixed up some T88 epoxy and glued my straw conduit to the inside of the rudder cap. I’ll probably add some flox along the sides just to make sure it never comes loose. Deburred all the holes in the rudder attach strip. Hope to get the cap attached in the near future.
