Brief Description:  R. Elevator-done, work on L & R HS tips

Sanded a bit on the right elevator, then shot a coat of filler primer. After it dried, I lightly sanded again—Done! Moved the elevator back to the upstairs closet until needed later. Next, I mixed up a batch of micro and lathered up the flange on the right HS tip. Secured tip to the HS with CS4-4 pop rivets. Used a credit card to smooth the excess. While this was drying, I sanded some new spots on the left HS tip—areas where I had added some Super Fil. Took a break, and when I returned several hours later, the epoxy had hardened on the right HS tip. This stuff dries much quicker when the temps are above 90. I next cut a strip of .003” glass and wet it with resin. Applied the strip to the right tip and smoothed with a stiff brush—then I added a strip of peel ply. Seems like the HS tips are much easier than the elevator tips. Maybe I’ve gained some experience, but probably easier cause they are so much smaller!
