Brief Description: Rudder bottom-3, R HS, L elevator
After some careful measurements, I cut the rudder bottom cap slots for the rudder horn. It took several filings 1/16” at a time to get a good fit. One thing became evident—without cutting a larger hole, the rudder will have to be removed to get the bottom cap on. So, that is on hold for a bit. Decided to prep the aft end of the cap for the tail/strobe light. Match drilled thru the adaptor ring into the bottom cap. Still need to cut out the center hole. Sanded and filled several areas on the right elevator—I’m getting close to calling it done. The right HS tip is ready to rivet on—waiting till the elevator is finished. Sanded the left HS tip, then added some Super Fil to smooth the edges.
Left HS tip--Super Fil applied
Hope to call the right elevator almost done
