Tonight I mixed up a batch resin and micro. Buttered up the elevator tip flange and slipped it into place. I clecoed every other hole, and pop riveted the open holes using CS4-4 rivets. Removed the clecoes and finished up the rivets. Used a credit card to smooth out the excess that squeezed out of the joint. I also applied a coat of pure resin to the end of the HS tip and smoothed it with a credit card. After it got tacky, I applied another coat and finally a third coat. The purpose of the pure resin coats is to eliminate any pin holes in the micro by forcing the resin into the holes.
