I was out on a trip for a few days, now it’s back to more sand & fill. Early this AM before work I added some flox and resin to the inside of the elevator tip to make a fillet with the glass that was added to cover the open end of the tip. I also mixed up some micro and spread a final coat on the back end of the HS tip and hit a few more spots on the rudder tip. This evening everything was cured, so I sanded the VS, HS and rudder tip a bit more. I dimpled the HS & elevator with the pneumatic squeezer. Had to modify a dimple die to make it fit on the inside of the elevator skins as the end rib was too close to the attach holes for the tip. Next I put a c/s in the glass for the tips. I plan to attach them next session. I also started on the tail light adaptor ring for the rudder bottom. Match drilled the ring to the fiberglass bottom, then cut out the center of the hole. This adaptor ring should make mounting the strobe/tail light fairly easy.
