Finished up the left elevator by drilling the horn with a letter “C”, then used a ¼” reamer to complete the hole. Mounted the elevator and inserted the center bolt thru both elevator horns. The bolt and nut are close to the tube on the horns, but there is enough clearance on both ends. Elevators swing very smoothly—no binding anywhere. In hindsight, the drilling of the elevator horns was not as difficult as had envisioned. Having other builders logs to follow was very helpful. Done with the empenage (except fiberglass).
