Got an answer from Van's on the rudder--they "prefer" no oil canning. Said I could drill out some spar rivets and reshape by hand, then rivet skin back to spar. Not sure how that would work out. After reading the posts on VAF, I undestand there are many RV's flying with the same issue and have not had problems as a result of the oil canning. I am going to leave as is and continue on.
Removed the vinyl strips on the right elevator. I plan to build both L & R elevators at the same time-hopefully the build process will move a bit faster.
