Brief Description: Glass around pin covers, rivet oil door hinge
I added some packing tape around part of the nose bowl opening as well as the hinge pin covers. I mixed up a batch of resin and poured a small quantity into another cup to which I added some flox. I used this resin/flox mixture to spread on the cowl where the oil door hinge is about to be riveted on. I clecoed on the hinge and squeezed the rivets. I then added some micro to the original resin and applied around the nose bowl and the hinge pin covers. The mixture was getting rather warm and very thick as I started on the last pin cover, so it may take some sanding and another coat. The covers stick up just a wee bit, so I’m trying to build up around them to make them fit perfectly flush.
