Brief Description:  Install backing plate, begin spinner mount

I need to correct the previous day’s post—the bolts that secure the backing plate to the prop hub are NOT metric. My 14mm socket fits perfectly on the nuts—the 9/16 was a bit loose. So, I bought a 14mm deep socket—it would not fit. I managed to get one nut removed so I took it with me in search of a socket. Very strange—a 14mm deep socket would not fit, yet a 14mm regular socket would. Also found that a 9/16” deep socket fits very well. Apparently there are some different tolerances between regular and deep sockets—who knew?? The nuts on these bolts are 3/8” self locking. I picked up some hardware grade nuts to use in case there was some removing-installing of the backing plate. Long story short—got home, removed the existing nuts, used the supplied spacer and one washer per the plans then installed the backing plate. I had previously “rough cut” the blade cutouts on the spinner. I opened them up slightly and with lots of fit, remove, cut more, sand, re-install and check fit--I finally got to the point where the spinner fits over the blades. I still need to fine tune the clearance, but it is getting close to what I think is final fit—at least until I mount the prop to the engine so I can twist the blades.
