Brief Description: Rebuild r. tank bracket F-863-1
I received some aluminum channel from Van’s late yesterday. Early this AM, I laid out the dimensions to cut a new F-863-1 tank attach bracket for the right side. Several days back while attempting to match drill the fuse to the bracket the clamp slipped and the hole ended up in the wrong place. I cut most of the bracket out with a hacksaw—also used a cutoff wheel in the dremel for part of it. About halfway through the cutting I sure wishing the band saw fairy would magically appear! Anyhow, got the bracket cut to shape, then smoothed it up on the scotchbrite wheel. Tomorrow, I’ll try to beat it until it fits the fuse.
