Brief Description:  Oil cooler mounting-5

I match drilled holes in the clip that ties the left center baffle to the left air ramp. I had to remove the ramp and baffle in order to drill the center hole of the clip to ramp which also attaches to some angle underneath the ramp—very time consuming process. There is supposed to be one more clip, but I'll wait until I finish the air filter mount in case of any interference. My order from ACS arrived so I moved to the oil cooler mount. I drilled holes for the miniature nutplate, then drilled a new mounting hole in the oil cooler flange. This will take care of the issue I had with the nutplate and bolt contacting the fins on the #4 cylinder. I also drilled some 1”angle to tie the #4 rear baffle to the oil cooler brace. Then, I cut out the opening for the spark plug wires—had to cant the nylon passthru to clear the oil cooler doubler. I am also going to use a steel tube which will connect to the angle on the inboard side of the oil cooler opening—the other end will attach to a longer screw thru the valve cover. I bent up a piece of aluminum tubing to get the angle and distance for mounting. I’ll heat the 4130 tubing with my torch to get it bent tomorrow.
