Several days have come and gone since my last post, but it appears that the end is getting closer on wheel pants. I shot a couple coats of primer on the two front halves. I battled pin holes on the two rear halves for several sessions and finally won. The back halves seemed to have many more pin holes than the front, but also they had much more area. A couple coats of sanding primer and finally two coats of primer and the rear halves are done. I will need another shot of primer on the front halves—one rattle can ran out and the new can is slightly darker in color—just enough that in the sun light, you can see a difference in color between the front and rear half. Next up is a trip to the hangar to install the pants. And then, I need to re-shape the upper end of the lower intersection fairings to conform to the shape of the Grove gear and give them a shot of primer.
