Brief Description: Intersection Fairings-9, Crow belts, fuel sender
|
|
I sanded both fairings again—still have some areas that need attention. I mixed up some Super-Fill and applied. The next morning, I sanded the areas again, then shot a coat of filler/primer. After it dried, I sanded with 1000 grit paper and shot another coat. Then, I lightly sanded with 1000 grit and shot a coat of primer—looks good—going to call the surface done. Next, I installed the fairings and marked a few areas where there is a slight gap next to the fuselage. I’ll apply some micro in these gaps and install the fairings—tomorrow. I received a 50 PSI fuel sensor from Dynon today. I removed the old sensor and installed the new one. Now the EFIS reports correct fuel pressure! I also received a set of Crow restraints by way of Flightline Interiors. I got the rear shoulder harnesses installed and started on the front—dang, I don’t have enough AN4-5 bolts—so, another order to ACS in the making. Earlier builders had reported the Crow belts with a 7/16” hole for mounting—however, mine came with ¼” holes—yipee! Maybe Crow has “re-tooled” their mounting hardware for Van’s RV’s.
