Brief Description:  Empenage fairing, Dynon install, gas caps

I marked the empennage fairing where it was contacting the elevator horn, then removed the fairing. I relieved the left side slightly—it was rubbing on the wires for the trim motor. I re-installed—still rubbing slightly, so I removed again and trimmed the fairing a bit more. After this, the fairing fits without any interference. Next, I installed the Dynon screen and powered it up. Hmm, it did not find the pitch and roll servos. So, I removed the seats and the floor pan. I checked voltage where the power wire from the front connects to the wires going to the servos—no power, so must be turned off in the VPX. Tomorrow, I’ll bring my computer and hook into the VPX and see what the issue is. Next, I removed both gas caps and taped some plastic sheet over the holes. I took the caps to the trophy shop where I had my data plate engraved, but they can’t do the caps—their machine not able to clamp a round object. I’ll do so more checking around. I can always use a label maker for the airworthiness inspection and deal with engraving later.
