Brief Description:  Finished Wiring Seat Heaters

Over the last couple of days, I finished up the wiring for the electric seat heater for both pilot and passenger. I used some “Amazing Goop” to glue some nylon mounting bases to various places along the wire runs. After plugging in the terminals to the relay, I secured the wiring bundle with a zip tie connected to one of the nylon mounting bases. This completes the rear heater wiring. I used the supplied switch wiring to run from the arm rest to under the aileron control rod in center of the fuse. I attached the wire with zip ties to several of the mounting bases. I also used one of the mounting bases to secure the relay, then connected up the wiring. I attached the wiring bundle with zip ties to another mounting base. Now the front seat heater wiring is complete as well. BTW, Amazing Goop is extremely strong—I had to remove and reposition one of the bases. They are nearly permanent—I found on the Goop website that gasoline will soften the glue. I used a cotton q-tip dipped in gasoline to finally get the base removed. A few days ago, I shipped the heating pads to Flightline Interiors, so that they can be built in to the seats. Now when the interior arrives, all I will need to do is plug in the wire from the relay to the seat pads and get warm—with near record temps here at present, seat heaters seem silly, but in winter it may help to keep the GIB happy.
