Today Nancy and I riveted the F872CPP-L left flap fairing to the fuselage. She ran the gun and I got the bucking bar duty—Again! Just couldn’t convince my partner that bucking inside the fuse was fun—(she didn’t fall for it). I’m just glad to have her help. This was much the same as the right side—except for two rivets that really gave us problems. These were both in the aft portion where the fairing curves around the fuse. I drilled both out and we shot them again—arrg, still no good. Now the holes were a bit wallered out, so I drilled them to 1/8”, then reamed to #30. I used NAS oops rivets for these to holes. This time they turned out just fine. For the holes on the bottom, I drilled them to #33 and used MK319-BS pop rivets. Glad to be done with these fairings.
