Entry 2 of 2. Well, it’s official—cowling finish work has now moved into first place as the least fun part of this build. This least fun record was previously held by canopy skirts, followed closely by baffles—however, without a doubt, cowling trumps them all. I sanded the lower cowl with some #150 grit—previously I had used #180, but it wasn’t removing enough of the brush strokes. Of course, this takes off a good bit more of the epoxy previously applied. On the sides, I will either add more epoxy with a credit card or apply some micro. The right side seems to have much more grain showing than the left. No pics—just look at previous entries—they all look about the same.
