Brief Description:  EGT/CHT wires connected-R. side

Log 3 of 3. Trying to get finished up on the firewall forward stuff. I started with running 4 EMS sensor wires from where they exit the lower left firewall to the right side of the firewall. I removed several adel clamps and added the EMS wires as well as the RG400 cable for the GTN antenna which will mount under the top cowling. I ran and secured the EGT & CHT cables from the engine to a location on the right motor mount where they will connect to the EMS wires. I got everything secured and tie wrapped—looked all neat and purdy! Hmm, brain fade—I didn’t label the wires—dang it! The EMS wires are labeled “CHT #1, EGT #3 etc”. The wires from the engine are red & white and red & yellow—easy enough to tell the CHT from the EGT, but which cylinder?? I had to cut all the wire ties, and remove several adel clamps to trace the wires back to determine which cylinder went with which wire. I plan to NOT repeat this error on the left side. After I got over that setback, I stripped wires, crimped on connectors and plugged them together. I added some shirk tubing over the insulated spade connection and used self fusing silicone tape to enclose the bundle. Then, I went back and secured all off the tie wraps I had previously cut off. I’m calling the right side done—at least until something else pops up. Tomorrow, I’ll start this same process on the left side.
