The baffles are almost as much fun as the cowl is—NOT. I fabbed a new fwd center bracket (CB-701D)—because the pre-drilled hole in the supplied bracket for mounting to the engine was too big. Then I removed three engine case bolts and installed the CB-701D and the CB-707D aft center bracket. Then, I started trying to install the #3 baffle—doesn’t fit very well. I marked various areas of interference, removed the baffle, trimmed and re-installed. I did this exercise at least a dozen times—and it still does not fit well. Most of the issues now are a couple of the holes where the baffle bolts to the engine do not match closely enough. Oh well, maybe tomorrow will be better.
