Brief Description: C/S L. tip, rivet nutplates, dimple wing skins
I used my pneumatic squeezer to dimple all holes on the end of both wings—had to use my pop rivet tool for a couple of holes near the top. I cleaned up and shot primer on the wing side p4 hinge of the left wing and both left and right end ribs . While the primer was drying, I machine c/s the left fiberglass tip using the p3 hinge as a guide for the cutter. By now the primer was dry, so I squeezed in some NAS1097 rivets to secure the nutplates for my hinge pin retainers. I clecoed the glass spacer strip and the p4 hinge to the left wing. It is now ready to rivet. I think I’ll get the right tip to this same stage before I begin riveting.
