I re-drilled the holes for the right wing tip which I had previously glass over. Then I drilled some #27 holes between each of the rivet holes for the left tip so that the resin can get a better “bite” when glassed & riveted to the tip. Next, I worked on a pin retention method for the right wing tip. I bent the piano wires and trimmed them to proper length—made a couple of clips from scrap hinge. I drilled the clips to #19 for a #8 screw, drilled the rib for a #8 screw and used my nut plate jig to drill for attachment holes for the nutplate. Now, I need to modify the aft tip rib for the left tip and repeat all of the above—should go a bit faster.
