I got the left vent tube trimmed to a length to match the right side, then ground an angle on the face so that it will be pointed into the wind. The plans show to leave only ½” of tube extended from the skin—I left about 1.25”. I want enough exposed tube so that I can slip on some sort of “remove before flight” cover. Seems we have an abundance of mud dobbers in this area. After finishing the vent line, I rolled the wing cradle out and reversed it. I plan to finish up wing tip installation, then move to the engine cowling.
