Brief Description: Finished nutplates, began fitting tip
I received some MS21053-L08 single lug nutplates today. I squeezed in some NAS 1097 rivets to secure the nutplates. Now, all the nutplates for the wing root fairings are complete—woo-hoo! I also fit the right wing tip to the wing today. Had to do some trimming on the inboard edge where the tip fits up near the aileron. This took about 5 or 6 mark, remove, trim and re-install, then repeat, repeat. Don’t want to take too much off—hard to put that fiberglass dust back on. Looks like I will need to chop about 3/16” off of the trailing edge to align with the aileron. I still need some more fine tuning before I begin riveting the hinge pieces to the wing and tip.
Last of the nutplates-plans show 2 leg--will not work
