I added another batch of flox early this AM. Later today, I sanded the bow and around the forward edge of the fairing. I believe the fairing across the bow is now stiff enough. Re-taped everything-again. Then, I mixed up some micro—added in just a bit of flox to thicken it up in hopes that it won’t sag too much on the vertical. Spread this across the bow with a tongue depressor. It actually started to gel faster than I wanted, so some parts are not real smooth (uh, more sanding). The fairing is getting much better, but I have a ways to go. The outside radius where the fairing turns up the bow is a problem. The radius is pretty tight—after I get it taped, it doesn’t take but a few minutes before the tape curls back—probably the high temps here affect it as well.
