Removed the HS and deburred the #28 holes which were drilled for the fairing attachment—used a #6 nutplate jig to drill the holes for nutplates. Deburred these holes and put a small countersink in the skin for NAS rivets. Deburred the 20 holes and squeezed in 18 NAS rivets to attach the nutplates. One the aft end, I used a CCR264SS3 cherry pop rivets on each side to secure the nutplate—wasn’t enough room to get the squeezer in. Next, I tapped 6 holes in the longerons—3 on each side. Used a piece of angle as a guide for the #6 cutter and put a c/s in the glass for the aft 2 holes. The forward hole will require another method to use a flush screw—the c/s cage will not fit with the curve of the lower fairing.
