l mounted the right elevator and then taped a paper over the area where the control horn arm sticks thru. Made a paper template to use as a guide for trimming the fairing. There needs to be a small clearance between the control horn arm and the fairing. I taped the template over the fairing and trimmed with first a rotary bit, then with a sanding drum on the dremel. Well the template got close, but had to install the fairing, mark, remove and trim again. Did this several times and finally got a nice clearance. I removed elevator and returned it to its home in an upstairs closet. Installed the fairing again and drilled two holes for attachment of the fairing to the longeron. Next up, repeat this for the left side.
