Brief Description:  Torque engine mount bolts, add firebarrier sealant

Couple of quick tasks today. I torqued the bolts that attach the engine mount to the fuse to 170 inch pounds. I had to add 2 washers under each nut to get the correct spacing with the castle nut and cotter pin—installed the cotter pins and bent them over. Next up was to add a bead of firebarrier where the firewall butts against the fuse side skins. On the slow build, either firebarrier or proseal is added between the joints, but it didn’t appear this had been done by the QB assemblers. This appeared to be a simple task—however, I couldn’t get the calk gun in the space between the vertical angle and the side skin. Ended up applying firebarrier with a popsicle stick. Very slow and rather messy, but I got it covered as best I could. After the hinge pieces are added for cowl attachment, I’ll probably run more firebarrier on the firewall side of the joint.
