Brief Description:  Started wing jig construction

Well i had this whole week off for Christmas vacation. I was hoping to have the jig done and starting on the ribs. Life of course got in the way. For this or that reason this is the first day i was able to work on the jig. I cleaned up the work bench and got everything i needed together. The MDF, acrylic, screws and washers. I decided to video tape the entire process of building the wing jig. I am hoping when it is all built i can put it all together and maybe post it on YouTube. Maybe it could even help some one someday by answering some questions on how to build one.

I placed the camera in front of the work bench and ran a few test shots to see how the sound and lighting looked. It looked good. No problems. I started taping and found the short script i had wrote out did not work. Looked great on paper but when it came time to say it in front of a camera i kept messing it up. I probably made ten tapings of the intro and kept blowing it one way or the other. Screw it, i'll just adlib the entire thing. This isn't CBS or even the aviation channel. Once i started to just talk it worked out fine. It was slow going and all got done today was to cut out the MDF to the size i needed. I kept having to run back into the house to check the video. Sometimes it was blurry or not pointing where i wanted it. It is my first video camera and is taking a little getting use to. The original MDF came as a 12"x96'. I cut it down to 10"x62". My airfoil is a NACA 4412 60" cord. I added two inches for it to be slightly larger than the rib. I had two left over pieces One long one 2"x62" and one 12"x34". I put those aside for later use. My next step was the draw the airfoil directly on the MDF.
