I finally got back to the project, and finished the vertical stabilizer, minus the molded top piece, which will house the tail light. (1) I assembled the side skins on the vertical stabilizer with clecos, going every other hole. (2) I carefully lined up the leading edge, and clecoed it in place in preparation for riveting. (3) Checked the riveting schedule to make sure that I had the proper rivet in the right place, and then completed the riveting of the vertical stabilizer. (4) I taped over the rivets with painters tape to insure that no outer skin was exposed to any dirt or contamination. I am waiting to receive my tail strobe light to install in the top of the vertical stab. so I have yet to install the molded top piece.But for now, its on to the Horizontal Stabilizer.
