Brief Description: Wing kit unpacking after *YEARS* in storage
Now that the tail surfaces are pretty much complete (are they ever?... still need lead counterbalance & tip installation), it is time to *FINALLY* unpack the wing components! The large AL piece in the middle is the spar carry-through that came pre-drilled to match the pre-drilled (*NOT* PRE-BUILT, *NOT* PRE-ANODIZED, *NOT* PRE-Anything, execept drilled!). This piece was damaged upon arrival in Michigan in 1996, I think... It was bent a bit and, considering how careful the instructions warn you to be with the holes in the spar components, I decided to send it back to Van's for replacement/repair. They bent it back in shape and returned it to me... I certainly hope this doesn't cause any spar-fuselage installation issues when that time comes!
