Brief Description: Bottom tab skin to tab spar & control horn attach
As I recall, the plans are a bit 'vague' on this portion (the control horn)... There are *some* dimensions given, but not *all*... Some are on the sheet supplied with the electric elevator trim servo kit & some are in the original plans, but missing some dimensions. The control horn pieces that came with the electric elevator trim were pre-punched as on the newer kits, but I didn't use them for a couple of reasons:
1) I didn't like how close the clevis attach was to the hinge line (lower drag, but less mechanical advantage & more trim-tab travel for a given servo 'throw'... I've read how sensitive the elevator trim is and thought a little less sensitivity wouldnt be so bad. 2) There wasn't much 'meat' in the cantelievered portion of the control horn supplied with the electric elevator trim; mine has quite a bit more and 'leads in' to the flanges that attach to the skin.
