Brief Description:  Canopy Targa Strip 1

While I'm finishing the canopy installation, I've decided to make the targa strip. I want it for the following reasons:

1) Makes for a nice finished look
2) Covers the gap between the canopy and rear window which seals from weather and air
3) Stiffens the aft end of the canopy a bit more by using carbon fiber.

The carbon cloth adds stiffnes. It comes in 3 inch widths with a nice finished edge. So my Targa strip will be 3 inches wide.

I'm going to make this targa strip as an integrated part of the canopy. Not just a glued on strip, but a built up fiberglass strip that becomes one with the canopy.

I taped off the canopy where I will grind down the canopy a bit and I taped over the window where the targa stip will cover. I added release wax to the tape over the window so fiberglass doesn't stick to it.
