Brief Description:  Fiberglass Canopy to Frame 12

I mixed up some resin/hardner with flock and micro balloons with the intention of floating a thick layer of it all along on top of the layers of fiberglass I've already applied.

But after I brushed on a pretty thick layer of liquid fiberglass I could see it was settling an sliding down with gravity. I decided a thick layer of glass is not what I need to deal with because the sanding will be terrible. So I scraped the whole area smooth with the plastic scraper.

This seems like the right thing to do because it leaves behind a thin layer of fiberglass that settles into the pores and voids in the glass layers. I think, I'd rather do a few thin layers to build it up rather than one thick layer.

I'll see tomorrow how this sets up. I will probably put another thin layer on top before this is dried and before sanding just to build up the thickness a bit, especially at the edge of the black electrician's tape. I want the top edge to be well defined.

I did brush on a thin layer without scraping off the excess. This was a mistake and resulted in tons of sanding.
