Brief Description:  Fiberglass Canopy to Frame 8

After the second coat of flock dried I sanded it smooth and started to apply layers of glass fabric. I did not do all seven layers in one step. I only applied three layers this first time. I watched the EAA workshop videos and I looked on YOUTUBE to learn how to do this fiberglass work. I could ask a local neighbor to help who knows about this stuff. But heck not knowing what I'm doing has been the case all along. The fun part is learning as you go. So here I go.

I smeared on a layer of resin/hardener, then I layed a layer of glass fabric, starting with the 1/2 inch wide piece. Then I brushed more fiberglass liquid into it and layed on the next layer of fabric. I layed 3 layers of fabric.

Then I smeared more liquid on it and tried to brush it in really well, and make it smooth.

Finally I layed the peel ply over the top and pressed it into the fiberglass.

You can still see the depression below the canopy on the sides. I'll have to address this next.
